Let me ask it this way? What if you ate just rice and eggs for 2 months. Would your body get the desired nutrients and a balanced diet. I am pretty sure that your answer would be a big NO.
now let's get back to your question. when you start doing 100 pushups, for the initial days you could feel the pump in your muscles and the response would be pleasing, but soon after that the graph wont accelerate in the same way it did for the past few days. The reason behind it is that now your body is acquainted to be subjected to the amount of load and the movements required for doing push ups. The body would react to it just as a daily work or activity. This is the reason that while working out in the gym people often distribute their workouts of various muscles according to the days of the week. This gives the individual muscles considerable time to do the damage control and bounce back with more energy for the next work out. Instead of working out continuously for 2 months, I would suggest you to vary the style of pushups and often introduce some break. Never let your body get acquainted to a specific motion or exercise.
Now coming back to your question. If you do 100 pushups continuously for 2 months, the result would be not as fruitful or beneficial as it could have been if you did a complete full-body workout which includes Squats, pull ups, push ups and another free body exercises.
